50% NEW ROUTE FOR DÉJÀ VU KILLARNEY 2017

Dr. Beatty Crawford and Plum Tyndall have recently returned from the Kingdoms of Cork and Kerry having completed plans for a 50% new route for their Easter event.

“Our aim in choosing the route for Déjà vu Killarney 2017 is to enable beautiful cars to travel over beautiful roads at speeds that will enable our Déjà vuers time to take in the magnificent panoramic views on The Wild Atlantic Way and the Kerry Mountains. It will also give them the chance to appreciate the great Special Stages that have been used by many of the world’s greatest drivers.” Said the Hillsborough natives following their return.

Some of the classic stages remain on the 120 mile Sunday Run route. Moll’s Gap for example but this time it will be experienced in both directions. The priceless parade will be going south on the Tim Healy Pass this year then due west to the jewel in the 2017 route – Cods Head, which undulates past the shores of one of the most westerly parts of The Wild Atlantic Way. mini

The Ardgroom stage will provide more spectacular seascapes as the cavalcade heads east along the shores of the Kenmare Estuary and it will link them to the Kilmakillogue Stage which is back on the Déjà vu maps this year by popular request.

It’s popularity boosted by the presence of Teddy O’Sullivan’s pub where fresh mussels that have travelled literally across the road from Kilmakillogue Harbour and live music will be on the menu on Easter Sunday afternoon.

The travellers will finish the day by descending back into Killarney over one of the most renowned stages in rallying history, enjoying their run in the opposite direction to their morning ascent past Molls Gap and Ladies View.

PASSPORT CONTROL

To further enliven the fun Déjà vu Passports will be issued to every registered car and those that successful record the right Passport Photographs along the way will receive proper Wild Atlantic Way Passports.

These Tourism Ireland prizes will enable the Déjà vu entrants to plan further trips up the western seaboard and to qualify for attractive gifts and incentives.image007-1
