Danny Dempsey Wins Motorsport Ireland Cadet Championship

Rising Irish racing star Danny Dempsey has been crowned the 2025 Motorsport Ireland Cadet Champion, securing the title with one round still remaining in the championship.

From the opening race weekend, Dempsey established himself as one of the drivers to beat, combining raw pace with consistency to ultimately dominate the season. With multiple wins and podium finishes, the young Meath driver has built an uncatchable points advantage – underlining his talent and determination on track.

“This is a dream come true,” said Dempsey. “Winning the Motorsport Ireland Cadet Championship means a lot to me and my family. None of this would be possible without the support of my team and sponsors, who have been with me every step of the way.”

This title marks a key milestone in Dempsey’s career as he prepares to take the next step in Irish and international karting. His championship-winning season has already turned heads in the paddock, cementing his reputation as one of Ireland’s brightest young motorsport talents.

The final round of the Motorsport Ireland National Championship takes place this weekend in Kiltorcan Raceway in Kilkenny where Danny will collect his Championship winning prize, a ticket to the Iame World Finals that will take place in Valencia this October competing against some of the best drivers in the world.

Danny is a third generation racer, his grandfather Cliff Dempsey going on from a successful FF1600 career to set up one of the best known Irish race teams, Cliff Dempsey Racing. Danny’s father Keith also raced karts and subsequently had a strong single seater race career in both Formula Europa (Opel) and Formula Renault.
