24 STRONG DRIVER LINE UP ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF HIGHLY ANTCIPATED MUNSTER DRIFT EVENT
With just a month to go until the drift event of the year, the driver line-up for Red Bull Drift Pursuit has been revealed.
A field of 24 fearless drifters will tackle a track like no other in Limerick this May, pitting themselves against some top talents in the national and European drift scene.
Saturday’s action will see the entire field of 24 drivers compete in 1v1 battles based on their pre-qualification times. 16 drivers progress to the second round, down to 8 drivers for the semi-final, and then the final will see four drivers fight for the top spot.
The concluding positions from Saturday will determine the order of competition for Sunday’s event which will take the same format as the previous day – starting with 24 drivers, then to 16 drivers, down to 8 for the semi-final and the final 4 for the ultimate grand finale.
Red Bull Drift Pursuit is unlike anything Irish motorsport fans have seen before. The unique format combines elements of Drift, Slalom and Gymkhana. Two cars, competing simultaneously, on a treacherous course – the margin for error is near zero.
