Nicole Drought Joins Team Dynamics for 24 Hour Silverstone C1 Race

Nicole Drought travels to Silverstone this weekend to take part in her first ever 24 hour race. The three time Britcar class winner will be taking a considerable step down in power from her 2020 GT4 Porsche, as she steps into a Citroen C1 with the well known BTCC Team Dynamics team. The race, which made history in 2019 by having 99 starters, is hugely popular with both professional and amateur drivers alike and another bumper entry is expoected for this weekend’s race, which will run on the same full length Silverstone layout as the British Grand Prix.
The C1 Challenge is an Endurance series for  Citroen C1 cars and has proved hugely popular since its inception a few years ago. Nicole has competed in the class on a number of occasions and, having taken victory at the Anglesey 6 Hour in 2019, remains the only woman to have won in the championship. This weekend she pairs up with Henry and Will Neal, sons of BTCC ace Matt, Jack Lemmer and Georgia Kaye, daughter of former BTCC production champion James.

Nicole Drought: “It’s great to get back behind the wheel again. Travel restrictions have meant that I have missed the first two Britcar rounds. I’m a huge BTCC fan so to join the Team Dynamics squad is very exciting. I have raced the C1s before and they are great fun, so I am really looking forward to it. We have a good team so if we can stay out of trouble, who knows?”

Team Dynamics are well known for their hugely successful BTCC campaigns- this is their 2021 challenger.

The race begins at 5:45 pm on Saturday next and, as the name suggests, finishes 24 hours later on Sunday afternoon!
