ON THE ROAD- VOLKSWAGEN COMMERCIALS RELEASE XMAS CAROL, PERFORMED BY CUSTOMERS!

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has released a rewrite of the festive classic, ‘12 Days of Christmas’, performed by its loyal customers to celebrate a successful 2019.

The brand has partnered with some of its biggest fleet customers to give the iconic carol a trade twist in time for Christmas.

In the biggest and most-anticipated collection of talent on a Christmas single since Band Aid*, the famous lords a-leaping, gold rings and partridge have been replaced by plumbers, swimming pool cleaners and tea suppliers, highlighting the diversity of customers who choose a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ product, whether it’s a Caddy, Transporter, Crafter, Caravelle, Amarok or California.

Also celebrated in the festive video are a number of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles aftersales teams – both mobile and in Van Centre – as well as suppliers of bespoke conversions available to customers. The video concludes with the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles team at the brand’s headquarters in Milton Keynes.

The lyrics in full**

‘For a very merry Christmas, a van is all you need

Eleven cranes a-lifting

Ten packers packing

Nine vans a-checking

Eight plumbers plumbing

Seven welders welding

Six cows a-bulling

Five Ringtons teas

Four surfing dudes

Three oil checks

Two tables buffed

And a Volkswagen under the tree!!’

Kate Thompson, Head of Press and Public Relations at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (UK) said: “Our festive cracker is packed with some of the best and most enthusiastic musical talent from around the country, all with one thing in common – they own one of our fantastic range of vans. We’re delighted so many businesses choose us year-on-year and we’d like to wish each and every one of them a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2020. And perhaps our version of this Christmas classic will be the soundtrack to their big day!”
