As Christmas approaches fast, one motorsport season ends with the excitement of next year’s campaign already building up. With a championship that went right down to the final race at the Leinster Trophy, next season promises to grow and deliver even more competition in Ireland’s fastest saloon series, SEAT Supercup Ireland.
The top 3 teams In the 2019 SEAT Supercup Ireland series got an early present from Santa Claus in late October, as champion Shane Murphy was joined in Barcelona by runner up Barry English and the 3rd placed team of brothers Neil and Darragh McMullen. As their reward, they got to tackle the Grand Prix circuit in the latest CUPRA Leon TCR car, run by European TCR Series outfit PCR Sport.
The good news is that this fantastic prize is planned for the top 3 teams again in the 2020 season. But even more exciting news is the new prize fund for newcomers.
We are excited to announce a spectacular €10,000 prize fund for competitors making their first series campaign.
1st Prize : €5000
2nd Prize: €3000
3rd Prize: €2000
Designed for newcomers to the SEAT Supercup, the end of season prize fun is open to anyone who has not previously finished in the Top 6 of the overall standings or has not competed in the SEAT Supercup previously.
the series organisers feel this is going to be a fantastic incentive for new drivers to join Ireland’s only manufacturer supported race series and experience the 340bhp Leon Supercopas.
