The “Spirit of Dunboyne” is back for 2019
The Dunboyne Motor Club is delighted to announce that they are now accepting entries for their Spirit of Dunboyne Motorsport Festival, which will be held on 13th October 2019.
With plenty on offer for the day, the Spirit of Dunboyne Motorsport Festival is a great family day out. Along with parade laps of vehicles from past racing years, we will be show casing Karts, Pit Bikes, modern Rally cars and the ever popular modern single seater race cars. With an amusements and refreshments area to keep kids of all ages entertained everyone can enjoy the full sights and sounds of the motorsport world.
Rosemary Smith will be turning the wheels once again on the streets of Dunboyne along with appearances from many of our past and present honorary presidents. Joining Rosemary on the day will be Tommy Reid the current honorary president of the Dunboyne Motor Club, lap record holder of the Dunboyne circuit set in 1965 at 101.24mph.
The club would encourage all to get their entries in early as this festival has become a popular fixture on the Irish racing calendar. With a limited number of grid entries available, the Spirit of Dunboyne Motorsport Festival attracts participants from across the country and further to experience a taste of the Dunboyne racing era.
