VRA to run Virtual Leinster Trophy alongside the main event at Mondello Park this weekend!

The Virtual Race Academy is delighted to host the inaugural Virtual Leinster Trophy Cup. The Leinster Trophy has been the pinnacle of motor racing in Ireland since it was first run in 1934. The first winner of the famous Leinster Trophy was in 1934 and was won by Frances “Fay” Taylour from Dublin.
The Leinster Trophy has been contested by some of the greatest names in Motorsport history. Three former winners have gone on to win the Formula 1 World Drivers Championship. 1957 world champion Mike Hawthorn won in 1951, Three-time World Champion fomously Ayrton Senna won in 1982, while double World Champion Mika Häkkinen raised the famous trophy aloft at Mondello in 1988. This Sunday, the BOSS Ireland class have the honout of racing for the Leinster Trophy and for the first time ever, the virtual version of the event takes place on the same day!
The Mondello based Virtual Race Academy (VRA) are very proud to be hosting the first ever ESports Virtual Leinster Trophy using the Assetto Corsa version of the 3.5km Mondello Park International track layout available HERE and using the free to download Formula RSS 3 V6 racing car HERE. This car is built to the specifications of the 2019 Formula 3 racing series.

The event has the support of both Mondello Park and the organising Leinster club and it even appears on the official timetable of the event (1pm Sunday).
