Michelin Star Chef Derry Clarke to Cook Up a Storm at Mondello Historic Festival

As in previous years, period 1960s and 1970s attire is encouraged and for the first time, there will be prizes presented on the day for best dressed, both male and female.

Ireland’s most famous Formula One driver, Dublin’s Derek Daly will return to the circuit where he cut his teeth, where he will be reunited with his iconic Guinness Sponsored March Formula 1 car. As well as the usual Historic races, the F1 car will join some of the Birrane Collection, including a the MG Lola Le Mans car, for an exciting on track demonstration.

A major addition to the event this year is the VIP “Lola Package” lunch option. Upon arrival at the VIP car park,  guests will be accompanied  by their hostess to the BMW suite, for pre lunch drinks and entertainment before adjourning to the Grand Prix suite where Celebrity Michelin Star chef Derry Clarke will serve a sumptious 5 course meal.

After a quick introduction with MC Leo Nulty, Derry will talk guests through each course and the accompanying wines. As in their Michelin star l’Ecrivain restaurant, Derry’s wife Sallyanne will run the “front of house” on the day! The suite will, of course, remain open for the duration of the day, with afternoon tea also being served to guests.
