Star Studded Titanic Deja Vu Ulster takes place today!

Rally legend and double World champion Walter Rohrl returns to Ulster this weekend, 34 years after he dominated the Ulster International Rally at the wheel of his revolutionary Audi Quattro- finishing some four minutes ahead of Brookes, McRae and Fisher in what was a sensational performance.

Deja Vu Tours was set up in recent years by Plum Tyndall and Dr Beatty Crawford, initially with Deja Vu Killarney which was a huge success and was repeated the following year. This weekend sees them fire up the memories of a golden era in rallying, when over 100 cars and crews will drive the classic Texaco, Circuit of Ireland and Ulster Rally stages. This is not a competitive event, although the crews will have some challenges set for them during the day. Despite this, the organisers have this week released a seeded entry list and its contents are guaranteed to make the hairs on the neck of any rally fan stand to attention. Rohrl, unsurprisingly, is at number one and will drive the beautiful John Mulholland Motors Rothmans Porsche 911. Paddy Hopkirk, Cathal Curley, Louise Aiken-Walker, John Taylor, Rosemary Smith and John Haugland are just some of the famous names you will see if you are in Belfast today.
