IRISH MOTORSPORT TV- Future Classic Action from The Leinster Trophy at Mondello

Coverage from the 2017 Leinster Trophy Race Meeting at Mondello Park in September. This time it is the popular Future Classic class who feature. A relatively recent addition to Irish Motor Racing, the class has allowed many cars which were formerly redundant to come back out in a fun environment.

As ever there is great variety on the grids, and the onboard footage gives you an idea of the different characteristics of each machine. A Celica is the chosen machine but as you will see, they can be a little bit of a handful! In contract, Dan Byrne is on the doorhandles as the flings his twin cam 1600cc Corolla around and Ger Byrne is great to watch in the rear wheel drive BMW 323i. New additions to the class for this year Darryl Scully in a mid engined CRX and MJ Farrell’s Levin also feature heavily too!

Great plans for this class in 2018, as they slash 2 seconds off the barrier time and allow some new cars in too!!
