IRISH MOTORSPORT TV- ITCC From The Leinster 2017

Shane Rabbitt was the ITCC title favourite this year in his self built and developed Mazda RX-7. He did most of the winning and was set to seal the deal at Mondello Park in September in front of the Irish Motorsport TV cameras! For some reason though, the other Super Touring competitors brought their A Game to the party- and the result made for great action! 2016 Production Champion Jay O’Reilly had made a raft of upgrades to his machine for the move to Touring and had inched closer to the front all year. Sensationally he grabbed pole position for race one- and with Rob Savage alongside him, it was never going to be easy for Rabbitt. Philip Burdock’s new Golf showed a great turn of pace too and is one to watch for 2018, while the returning Erick Carroll looked like had never been away as he challenged the font runners. Keith Campbell was blindingly fast and could possibly have caused a major upset- but luck was not on his side. Pa Hudson got the job done in Production to clinch the title but Alan Healy and Daniel Faherty kept him honest. Enjoy……
