Newly Crowned BOSS Ireland Champion Dwyer to Challenge for Leinster Trophy

With seven wins from eight races at the wheel of his Premier Machine Tools Lola-Nissan, Peter Dwyer has been crowned 2017 BOSS Ireland Champion. Such was his dominance of the series, that he even managed a thrilling win at Mondello Park despite starting from the pitlane having had issues in qualifying.
From Eniscorthy in County Wexford, Peter has been competing in motorsport for over 30 years, iinitially hillclimbing and moving to the BOSS (Big Open Single Seater) series back in 2008.
The championship win was achieved at the wheel of a Lola T96 powered by a NIssan AER World Series engine, which produces approximately 380bhp.
This weekend, with the championship put to bed, Dwyer can concentrate on the famous Leinster Trophy race, where he will face a horde of visiting UK F3 Cup cars as well as his usual BOSS Ireland Competition. Should he manage to overcome the more modern and nimble F3 machines, Dwyer will join names such as Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen on the famous Trophy!

There is action from BOSS Ireland on both Saturday and Sunday, with the Leinster Trophy race scheduled for 3:15pm on Sunday.
