Friday #WORLDSSP update from @JackKennedy14 & @PROFILE_RACING

World Supersport riders began to show their sharp end pace from the off at Imola this morning during free practice one. With a new bike to learn, Jack Kennedy chipped away at his times getting more comfortable on the Triumph Daytona as the session progressed. He narrowly missed out on a top ten but showed he had the pace early in the race weekend to finish the session in P12. His teammate Luke Stapleford suffered a fall at the mid way point but was able to remount and complete the session to take 20th at the flag.
Free practice 2 was stopped for half an hour by a red flag after Baldolini’s MV Agusta’s engine blew up between turns 14 and 19, spilling oil on the racing line. After an extensive clean-up, the session was resumed for its final 20 minutes which saw the times tumble. Despite improving his time by 0.2 secs, Jack went back 3 places to cross the line in P15 and just 0.1 behind his teammate, Stapleford
Another 15 minute free practice session in the morning (8:20am Irish time) will give him more valuable track time and the chance to try some changes for qualifying. Qualifying Superpole 1 starts at 13:00 Irish time which will be live on Eurosport 2 with the two fastest riders progressing to Superpole 2 determining the grid order for Sunday’s race.
Not a bad first day on the triumph, P12 this morning improved in the afternoon but dropped to P15. More to try tomorrow. Enjoying it ✊🏼
