The Crafted Fitted Furniture & Joinery Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally is Go!

The Crafted Fitted Furniture & Joinery Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally is ready to run on next Sunday August 14th . The work is done, the stages are in superb condition and the rally is centrally based in Mallow.
Cork Motor Club has made a serious effort to centralise all aspects of the rally which start with Documentation- which is in the Cork Co. Council grounds in Annabella, as is the Parc Ferme, and Finish ramp. Service is in Quarter Town industrial Estate and the Rally HQ for the weekend is The Roundabout Inn, Mallow.
The stages are in the Nadd ,Banteer area and there is huge interest in the new stage this year Duhallow 16km of superb gravel road this stage has already been described as EPIC.
At the time of going to press entries include Mark Donnelly Fiesta s2000, Adrian Hetherington in the Corolla WRC, Former Champion Pat O Connell in an Evo and Championship leader Michael Carbin in an Evo however many think the battle for the win will be between Desi Henri in the Skoda and Mick O’Brien in the Fiesta WRC with CMC member Liam Brennan on the notes.
In the 2 wd category the battle will be for the Mk2 Master Of The Woods , this battle should be worth looking at with drivers like David Crossen, Seamus O Connell , Mickey Conlon, David Condell , local ace Paul Fitzgerald and Shane McGirr to name but a few .

The event will, once again, be televised and will showcase Mallow town and its immediate surroundings.
