Cork Forest Rally Launch Details

The Official Media Launch of The Crafted Furniture & Joinery Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally takes place in the Roundabout Inn, Mallow, Co Cork at 8 o clock next Tuesday the 26th .All are welcome and over the years it’s been a great night for chat and banter about rallying and motorsport in general.

The rally, while the stages will be run the Nadd and Banteer area, will be based in Mallow, with H/Q in the Roundabout Inn, the documentation area, Parc Ferme, Trailer Park and Prize giving will all take place in Cork County Council offices in the grounds of Annabella House. The service park will be based in Quartertown Industrial Estate. Cork Motor Club is indebted to the town of Mallow, Mallow Chamber of Commerce, Cork County Council, Mallow Development Partnership, the traders of Mallow and the Country Fire Service for all their support.

The event will, once again, be televised and will showcase Mallow town and its immediate surroundings.

The event, Round 4 of the National Valvoline Forest Championship, reduces the number of stages from 4 to 3 but has 62 + stage kilometres on offer including a stage that has never been rallied before, this stage, is 16KM long as is and will be in the future a classic, which the Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally is renowned for. This epic stage is reason enough to do the event not to mind the rally’s reputation as the competitors favourite forest event .
