June Kirkistown Meeting Promises Thrills! #ff1600 #kirkistown #NIFiestas

The 500 Motor Racing Club of Ireland stages the fourth car race meeting of the 2016 season at Kirkistown circuit on Saturday June 25. The regular Northern Ireland Formula Ford 1600 Championship will feature two rounds and an extra bonus for fans; a race for Pre 90 cars.
In the Northern Ireland Formula Ford 1600 Championship Noel Robinson tops the leader board with five wins at the County Down circuit; however the ex-footballer will be missing from the line-up this time. This could see Alan Davidson take a haul of points as he has been the main competition to Robinson this season. Jake Byrne returns to his Ray chassis and having dominated the NI FF1600 series in the same car, will definitely be worth keeping an eye on. Another driver to watch is the ever improving Ryan Campbell, who ran with the leaders in his elderly Reynard last time out.
Last time out 24 Ford Fiestas lined up for two action packed races, so expect the same. Roy Smyth has done an outstanding job in building the class up to such numbers and race winners to date, Adrian Finnegan, Ben McCully and Jonny Forsythe.
Tin top fans will see examples from BMW, Honda and SEAT on the grid for two Kirkistown Saloon races and the drivers who have featured this season, Ralph Jess (BMW), Andrew Armstrong (BMW) and Stephen Traub (Honda). Ginetta Juniors a class for newcomers to motor racing and with two races we could just see a star or stars of the future in action.
Adding to a busy programme, three races for karts featuring 125 and 250cc machines.
