No Interest in Holstein’s new SEAT Deal! – Motorsport.ie

SEAT Supercup Ireland title contender Erik Holstein is teaming up with Enniscorthy SEAT for the remainder of the 2016 season in a deal that will see the highly regarded touring car driver become the first on the grid to carrying the branding of one of SEAT Ireland’s 22 strong dealer nationwide. Securing his first podium finish during the most recent championship encounter in Bishopscourt last month, Holstein will make his debut as an Enniscorthy SEAT supported driver at Rounds 5 & 6 on June 12th at Mondello Park. Continuing to race in the familiar 2015 championship winning colour scheme of his Murray Motorsport team, Holstein’s 301Bhp Leon Supercopa will promote the 0% APR being offered on SEAT‘s range of class leading models. To mark this exciting new dealer/driver collaboration, the championship’s first outing of the season on the international circuit at Mondello will be presented by Enniscorthy SEAT.
Commenting on the new partnership, 2013 Irish Touring Car Champion Holstein said, ‘I’m delighted to be the first

driver to represent a dealer in the championship and hopefully I can welcome Enniscorthy SEAT to the SEAT Supercup by claiming my first win next weekend’.
Currently second in the championship standings 2-points off Round 3 winner Rod McGovern, the former International Showjumping star added, ’I’m looking forward to working with Diarmaid Boland and the rest of the staff at Enniscorthy SEAT and I hope to give them a good reason to put on a special celebration event at their showroom once the championship finishes up inSeptember’.
The SEAT Leon Supercopa is a factory built race car with over 300 having been produced by SEAT Sport, the Spanish car manufacturer’s motorsport division located in Barcelona. Based on the road going MKII Leon, it was originally created for the SEAT Leon Eurocup however quality, price & performance have made it one of the most versatile touring cars in the world. Introduced to Ireland in 2015, with Niall Murray becoming the inaugural champion, the Supercopa is raced in the exciting SEAT Ireland backed SEAT Supercup Ireland which consists of 12 races run over 6 events with visits to three different racetracks. Developing 301Bhp from its 1984cc Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, this is delivered to the front wheels through a 6-speed DSG (direct- shift gearbox) gearbox with Yokohama 250/650R18 slick tyres providing traction.
