Run by the Irish Rallycross Championship, the class is is managed by Leo Nulty Promotions and boasts cash prizes for the top three in the A final. Superbike Champion Brian McCormack drove the car at the opening round and stunned the regulars by taking three heat wins on his debut!
Wayne Boyd, from Templepatrick in Northern Ireland, is a former British Formula Ford champion and recently won the prestigious Formula Ford Festival in Brands Hatch, beating a world class field in the process.
Wayne Boyd: “I’m looking forward to this. I’m definitely more of a single seater man, but this looks like good fun. Brian went well in the car last time out too, so no excuses! Thanks to the Irish Rallycross Championship and Leo Nulty Promotions for the opportunity!”
The series also receives support from McLoughlin Industrial Flooring, Motorsport.ie, partsforcars.ie and Mondello Park.
