VIDEO- Hearty Dominates- Formula Vee Action from 1999 – Motorsport.ie

Brian Hearty has been racing at Mondello Park for over 25 years. In that time he has amassed an incredible 10 championships and somewhere in excess of 120 wins- an incredible record. He has probably won more races than anyone else at Mondello Park in the 47 year history of the Kildare venue and is still racing- and winning in Formula Sheane.

Back in 1999, Brian was pretty much invincible in Formula Vee. Despite a grid packed with young and old talent, he had won every round of the series at a canter coming up to the Leinster Trophy meeting. As you can see from the below clip, this one is no different, as he rockets away from the chasing pack on the first lap before coming home for another dominant victory. In his wake though, there is some superb Formula Vee action, as Ian Barrett, Paul Heavey, Fergus Dalton, Gerry O’Reilly and Paul Newport thrash it out.
