Craig Breen changes his WRC plan

After his retirement from WRC Rallye de Portugal last month Peugeot Rally Academy driver Craig Breen has changed his WRC2 Championship plan. The FIA European Championship leader has decided not to compete as planned on WRC Poland at the start of July but instead will take his SAINTéLOC Racing run Peugeot 208T16 to WRC Rallye Deutschland. The rally which takes place from the 20th to the 23rd of August sees Craig swap gravel for tarmac saying “We were looking forward to Rally Poland, but after our non-finish in Portugal, we feel this is the best decision to help us on our campaign to win WRC2.” Although WRC Rallye Deutschland is seen as one of the most difficult asphalt rallies of the season it’s a happy hunting ground for Craig as he has tasted success there before when he won the World Rally Academy class back in 2011. This along with completing a full reconnaissance of the event last year makes the switch a sensible decision.
