BREAKING NEWS- Fiesta Rallycross Mini Championship to run at Mondello Park in November

The Irish Rallycross Championship have announced a new promotion for the remaining two Mondello rounds of their 2015 campaign. Having introduced a class for the 1.25 Zetec engined race cars earlier this year, they will now run a two round mini championship on November 1st and November 22nd.
With backing from Patch Tyre Equipment and the Naas Court Hotel, there are a number of competitor incentives to attract Fiesta owners. There is no registration fee, one entry will be randomly drawn on the week coming up to the race for a full refund of their entry fee. There will be cash prizes for the Fiesta Final at both events.  Organisers will also supply a pack to race car owners to upgrade their cars to rallycross spec, comprising mudflaps and high level rear brakelights, free of charge, courtesy of partsforcars.ie
Leo Nulty has been recruited by the Rallycross Championship, through his Leo Nulty Promotions company and the incentive is his brainchild.
“Rallycross has been struggling recently in terms of numbers but certainly not in terms of entertainment. For 2016, the plan is to attract some further backing and bring back some TV coverage- that’s what Rallycross was invented for, remember. This Fiesta promotion is a logical step. The new Fiesta ST circuit racing class has attracted plenty of interest so some of the older model Fiestas will be available very cheaply. For an entry fee of less than €200, you can have up to 5 runs per day, and also you can double drive.”

John Dowling, Chairman, Irish Rallycross Championship: “We have put a lot of work into rebuilding Rallycross this year, including introducing Tynagh as a new venue. This initiative is a continuation of that and seems to have attracted plenty of interest already, which can only be a good thing!”

To register for the series, all you have to do is enter the first event. Forms are available HERE or call 045-860200

Support from the series also comes from Mondello Park, Motorsport.ie and Partsforcars.ie
