Noel Roddy goes F3!

For over a year Noel Roddy has been working on a plan to compete in the British Monoposto championship with a Formula 3 car. When this plan didn’t come together in time to start the 2015 season, he  turned to plan B which was to compete in Ireland with a Formula Renault while taking in some UK rounds.

He undertook the first round of the Irish Formula Libre championship at Mondello Park, but this highlighted that this wasn’t the correct path to pursue, and so he pressed the reset button.

After six frantic weeks, Noel is now happy to announce that he will compete in the remaining British Monoposto championship rounds, plus two non championship races at Spa Francorchamps with a Formula 3 Dallara engineered by experienced race engineer Chris Smith.

After a shakedown with the car at Brands Hatch last Friday, his first races will be on Silverstone’s Grand Prix circuit this weekend.

Noel and team will run the car without sponsorship logos for these races, with the sponsorship package being announced at a later stage.
