Doyle Returns to Mondello to Defend ASK Supercar Lead. – Motorsport.ie

Having missed rounds 7 and 8 at the County Kildare circuit due to other commitments for the Murphy Prototype Young Driver Programme at the Red Bull Ring, Austria, Sean is ready to get back on the track to maintain his lead position in the ASK Supercar Championship.

Sean has proved his racing ability this season, with an impressive five wins from five race finishes so far! Seán advised ‘I’m looking forward to getting back out in the car after a long gap since the last time. I’ve been keeping my fitness up through sessions at Kylemore Indoor Karting and also simulator racing. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be for the next race.’

Doyle has the Championship lead over Peter Barrable by one point. This has remained unchanged, as Barrable did not compete while Sean was away with Murphy Prototypes and third place driver Bob Cameron was unable to finish either race due mechanical issues.

The ASK Supercar championship is a new for 2015 series set up by Alan Kessie of ASK Racing to accomodate the old Dunlop Supercar/RT2000 machines. The cars all run Hoosier Tyres (ASK is the Hoosier agent) an there are classes for both sequential gearbox equipped Supercars and the slightly less powerful T Cars.
